For all fans of 1980s' sword and sorcery movies, this is a story of adventure, fantastical creatures, bloody, barbaric action and world building. Inspired by such geeky cult classics as Deathstalker II, The Sword and the Sorcerer, Conquest and the epic Beastmaster, this is an epic adventure novel that details the trials and tribulations of Daris, a member of a barbarian clan.
When the dark elves descend on her small village, Daris's hard but mundane life living off the land is thrown into turmoil, as the High Witch claims several of the clan members to be taken as human sacrifices to her blood god. Daris's brother is one of the unfortunate few doomed to such a fate, and it falls to Daris to journey east to try and intercept the eleven caravan and rescue her brother, before he is taken behind the walls of the Black Citadel and into hell itself.
An old school fantasy story in the grand tradition of Tolkien, butchered by the 80s' schlock fantasy cinema, Daris the Barbarian will be released in a weekly format, with a new chapter being uploaded each Saturday to further expand on the adventures of Daris the barbarian!
